There are several versions of the origins of Mother Goose and nursery rhymes. It is often agreed that Mother Goose is a collection of nursery rhymes that were orignially published in the 18th century in London, England. But some say there was a French connection as well.

When rhymes and jingles and stories are passed down from generation to generation there are frequently several variations of the same verses. The one that is ~right~ is the one that you use and like.
